I am currently working as a Communications Officer for the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD), a Vietnamese NGO. Our work focuses primarily on grassroots community development and national/regional level advocacy for pro-poor development policy. For the communities that we work with (mainly in rural and upland areas of northern Vietnam), economic integration, specifically Vietnam's recent accession to the WTO, carries with it both great potential rewards and risks. My interest in joining the Trade Knowledge Network is to follow and
participate in debates and discussions on economic integration with a
focus on the impact of trade liberalization on rural stakeholders.
