    Vacancy: UNRISD Fellowship Programme for Researchers from Developing Countries

    Visiting Research Fellows (3 positions)

    As part of its new UNRISD Fellowship Programme for Researchers from Developing Countries, the Institute seeks to fill 3 positions. UNRISD invites applications from social science scholars based at research institutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

    The visiting fellows will be expected to spend 9 to 12 months working at UNRISD in Geneva. Successful applicants will be engaged in innovative research in the field of social policy in developing countries. At UNRISD they will continue research in this area, prepare a paper for publication under the UNRISD Programme Paper series, and develop ideas for future research.

    Requirements:

    • Ph.D. in Economics, Politics, Sociology or similar
    • 5 to 10 years of research experience
    • Currently based at an academic institution in Africa, Asia or Latin America
    • Specialization in social policy and development


    Terms and conditions:

    • Attractive remuneration according to living expenses in Geneva
    • UNRISD does not cover the cost of medical insurance, which is mandatory for the period of assignment
